For the Student union Lower Bavaria/ Upper Palatinate, the surge in to-go packaging waste during the pandemic became a major challenge. The introduction of Relevo’s deposit-free reusable system provided an efficient and practical solution for waste reduction. This is the success story of a student services organization that not only eliminated single-use packaging but also demonstrated its own innovative business mindset.

After all cafeterias in the Aachen and Jülich university areas switched their to-go sections to our reusable tableware in September 2021, single-use packaging was only available for an extra charge. Relevo’s deposit-free concept thus became the sustainable, large-scale solution for take-away meals for 64,000 students.
