Relevo Hub Solution
Reusable system for market spaces
Whenever multiple food service establishments operate in the same space, a unified system is needed to coordinate the use of reusable containers.
Relevo’s Hub Solution combines tableware pooling, return machines, dishwashing logistics, and a digital platform into a closed-loop system.
Reusable packaging at markets often fails due to a lack of infrastructure
Too many restaurant owners, too many isolated solutions, and no system to tie it all together?
With its City Hub Solution, Relevo offers a comprehensive, one-stop reusable system.
- For urban marketplaces, food courts, and more.
- A single point of contact for the entire system
- PPWR-ready & compliant with regulatory requirements
What are the benefits of the City Hub Solution?
One system for all retailers
No patchwork of solutions, no isolated systems. All retailers in the market use the same reusable system. As the operator, you retain full control.
Returns, that work
Central return machines located right at the market. Customers know immediately where to return their dishes. No retailer has to worry about it.
No extra work for retailers
Ordering tableware, cleaning, and logistics all run in the background. Distributors focus on hospitality. Not reusable container management.
Full transparency through a single platform
Inventory, return rates, and billing—it’s all managed in one system. This way, you can make data-driven decisions instead of coordinating blindly.

How our City Hub Solution works
Dish distribution
Restaurants on your premises receive reusable containers centrally provided. Ordering is easy via an intuitive webshop that is part of our platform.
Usage
Customers buy their food and drinks as usual and now receive it in reusable containers. Whether deposit, app, or credit card, our hub solution covers all options.
Return
Customers simply return the containers to central, specially designed outdoor return machines. These are placed directly on the market floor and adapted to the market's desired design.
Logistics & Flushing
Relevo handles the collection, cleaning, and return of the containers. The entire process runs automatically in the background via our system. We work with either our own cleaning and logistics partners or local ones.
The Hub Solution in use at Munich's Viktualienmarkt
Our platform will soon be deployed at the Viktualienmarkt in Munich to manage the ReMuc system, a closed-loop reusable solution for to-go food and drinks. Customers will be able to return their cups and bowls around the clock and without cash at five return machines directly at the market.
- Relevo manages the entire process digitally.
- A local partner handles the logistics.
- Retailers don't have to organize anything; they simply pay a variable fee per container used.
- Press release from the City of Munich
Frequently Asked Questions About Our City Hub Solution for Markets
How much effort does it take to implement a reusable system at a market?
Relevo handles the entire setup: return machines, platform, and logistics. As the operator, you don’t need to build your own infrastructure. The system is designed to integrate into existing market structures without disrupting ongoing operations.
Do food vendors at markets need to organize anything themselves when using a reusable system?
No. Restaurant owners receive their reusable containers through a centralized distribution system and use them as usual. Washing, logistics, and returns are all handled behind the scenes.
How does the return process work for customers?
Customers return their cups and bowls directly to central return machines located throughout the venue. Cashless, 24/7, regardless of location.
Is the system PPWR-compliant and does it meet local regulations?
Yes. The system is designed to systematically meet current and upcoming regulatory requirements, such as the EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) and local reusable packaging regulations.
How flexible is the pricing model of a reusable system for market operators?
As an operator, you decide how the costs are distributed. Usage fees and washing costs can be passed on to vendors individually or subsidized. The model adapts to your market structure, not the other way around.
Can the system also work with other reusable system providers?
Yes. Relevo operates as a backend platform and can integrate various providers. At Munich’s Viktualienmarkt, for example, the system works with RECUP containers. Local dishwashing and logistics partners can also be directly integrated.
What types of containers are used?
Currently, cups and bowls are available for to-go food and drinks. The containers are provided centrally; no vendor needs to supply their own tableware.
How are inventory levels and return rates analyzed?
Through Relevo’s digital platform. You can see at any time how many containers are in circulation, what the return rate is, and how the billing breaks down for each restaurant.
