The catering company GastroLand<\/strong> has secured itself a special place on the podium in the fight against disposable packaging by relying on Relevo <\/a>reusable packaging. Among the large canteens in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein that the caterer serves are well-known companies, such as GastroLand’s headquarters in the canteens of the Mercedes Benz branch in Hamburg or the staff restaurant of the employment agency in L\u00fcbeck. The idea of bringing more sustainability into everyday gastronomy had been on Bianca Lemke’s mind for a long time. As the assistant to the management at GastroLand, she was also driven by the desire to eliminate annoying single-use waste and introduce an <\/span>environmentally friendly alternative<\/b>. So she set out to find a <\/span>compatible and simple solution<\/b>. It also had to be easy to integrate into everyday canteen life. They researched, weighed up the options and talked a lot about possible changes. The decisive tip came from a restaurateur friend who suggested that she put her trust in the Relevo concept.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

First Steps and Setbacks<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Even before the Relevo reusable system was introduced, GastroLand Catering made several attempts to make the t<\/span>o-go business<\/b> more sustainable. For example, with biodegradable disposable packaging. However, it quickly became apparent that the nature of the products posed considerable difficulties for customers during transportation. The organic disposable packaging was leaky and therefore unstable.<\/span><\/p>

So they had to go back to conventional disposable plastic packaging. At the time, it seemed like the only logical step for the catering experts, but in the back of their minds it was clear that in the long term a solution had to be found that would <\/span>also meet the demands of transportation and enjoyment<\/b>. After all, with 50 to 60 rentals per day, a considerable amount of waste was generated.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The reusable tableware stood out above all due to its quality: <\/span>robust, high-quality, leak-proof and so durable that it can be reused up to 1,000 times.<\/b> The introduction of the Relevo system thus manifested a further aspect of sustainability in GastroLand’s corporate culture.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It’s not just the environment that is happy about using the Relevo reusable system,<\/span> GastroLand Catering’s customers are also impressed<\/b>. The fact that the food can be<\/span> kept warm for a long time and the elegant design<\/b>, which only enhances the enjoyment of food and drinks, are repeatedly emphasized as particularly positive.<\/span><\/p>

To ensure guest satisfaction, GastroLand attaches great importance to continuous communication and has found that the majority of <\/span>canteen visitors are very open and enthusiastic<\/b> about the new system.<\/span><\/p>

Relevo’s <\/span>digital scanning solution<\/b>, which is<\/span> free of charge<\/b> for users, has been integrated into GastroLand’s canteen landscape in an exemplary manner. In the meantime, another location has been added.
